This category is about Jefferson's art collection and artistic representations of Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson had abiding interest in most of the fine arts. As early as 1771, he planned to adorn his home with casts and copies of famous works of sculpture and painting. In France, he got his chance to begin purchasing and assembled the bulk of his final Monticello painting collection.
