Frederick Hatch
From Thomas Jefferson Encyclopedia
Frederick Hatch[1] was a Episcopal minister in Charlottesville. He gave services in the county courthouse until a church was built in 1824. Hatch also had a school where Jefferson's grandsons Benjamin Franklin Randolph, Meriwether Lewis Randolph, and James Madison Randolph attended. Jefferson also donated money for a house for Mr. Hatch. Martha Jefferson Randolph reportedly went to his services.[2]
